Abacus Plumbing, Air Conditioning, and Electrical (Austin)

When I tried to save money with a cheaper electric company the photos below is what I got stuck with! Electrician they sent out to give me an estimate on the scope of work needed to correct what damages were now on top of the original work I need done, the electrician they sent out to do the estimate was on time and he called when he arrived he was very knowledgeable professional courteous and respectful and gave me hope that I wouldn't have a trauma experience as I did with the previous electrician because their company is licensed answered and back by the better Business bureau ensuring that my satisfaction will be guaranteed I just wish I would have used their company first so I didn't end up having to redo it ! But the technician made me feel relaxed and confident that they will be able to get me back to having my house habitable without fire and safety hazards

I want to commend Abacus Electrical, they sent Ken (Kenneth) tech to my home within 24 hrs. He was so very professional, thoroughly, carefully accessing electrical outlets that needed replacement. Many of them were badly burned out, THANK YOU!! 5⭐, Totally recommend,👍👍👍👍👍👏

Our main power line was nicked and caught on fire. Jorge and his team worked around the clock to replace the entire main electric line to our house. ...UNDERGROUND (due to pool) literally the day before Christmas!!!! The trench was 150 feet long and 2 feet deep. They submitted all the permits and had Centerpoint turn it back on Dec 24th. A miracle. Throughout the madness they helped connect a generator, switched out gas cans, showed up on time, and communicated on all the progress. 1st class service!!!!

[UPDATED AT THE END]... I called Abacus to get a quote and repair for a sprinkler backflow replacement (cracked pipe). I was able to schedule the same day - so all good there. Then... it went downhill. The estimate: $1,700. When I had a heart attack and asked for any military discount - they went down to $1,464. I've had the repair done before - at $500-$600. They left - and I called Pearland Plumbing Company. I had 2 options: $500 for them to get the part and replace it - or buy the part myself, and they would charge $250 to install it. I went to HD - paid $110 for the part. Total cost: $360. So - hard pass on Abacus for this job... [UPDATE]: So I got a response from the "owner" apologizing and asking me to call to discuss. I called the number the "owner" provided - it was their main number. After being placed on hold and transferred 3 times (19 minute call) - they had no clue what the issue was. I gave him the option of reading the Google review and then calling back to discuss. (Remember - I don't have any other issues - they asked me to call.) He told me that estimates are voluntary and if I'm not satisfied with the amount I can always call around to get other quotes that may be "within my wheel house". I told him I knew that - as I'm an adult - and learned that back in Junior High. I told him I didn't have any issues that I was only calling as they asked - maybe they would want to know they are 3X the amount of ALL other plumbers. I then told him I was changing the rating to 1 star - and good luck with his future. SMH.

My representative was exceptional. Not only did he charge me nothing, but he also took the time to explain how my panel works, discussed future replacements I should budget for, and answered all my questions. It was truly a great experience, which is something that is hard to find these days with residential repair companies.
