In order to always have power in your home, you'll need to stay connected to the grid. This ensures that you have 3 pillars supporting your energy. Energy will first be taken from your solar panels, second from your battery, and lastly, if needed, from the grid.
It usually takes 1 day to install a full system. If our install crew runs into any issues that may make the install take longer, they'll let you know what they ran into as well as schedule a day to come back and finish any remaining work.
This will depend on your personal energy usage in your home/business. It's best to get a quote with your unique usage to know what size of solar system is needed for your particular home/business.
There is a federal tax credit for installing solar panels. Learn more here.
The ES Solar personnel that I have dealt with have been exceptional. I don't know that I have ever experienced service personnel that were as careful and conscientious as those that installed my system. Those that worked inside my home were very gracious and very careful to respect my home. They thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. Those working outside were every bit as conscientious in keeping debris off my yard. I was very impressed with the whole installation process. Very professional. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend ES Solar to anyone.
If I could leave 0 stars, I would. My husband, our family friends, and I all purchased solar from ES and were thoroughly misled throughout the process. During the sales pitch, we were shown a document outlining the cost of the solar system, which included a breakdown of how the $3,000 Rocky Mountain credit would be applied to our balance. Additionally, it stated that we would receive a $15,000 credit (30% of the solar cost) when filing taxes, and our new loan balance would be reduced by a total of $18,000, cutting our monthly payment in half. It also showed that if we decided to just take the $18,000 and put it in our pocket what our payment would be. Bryce, the sales representative, specifically stated that we would receive a $3,000 check from Rocky Mountain and a $15,000 check (30% of the solar cost) when filing taxes, which would reduce our loan balance and subsequently our monthly payment. Based on this information, we made the decision to move forward knowing that we would apply the full $18,000.00 to the total loan cost in order to get the payment that made sense for our family and our situation. However, when tax season arrived, we learned that none of this was true. We did not receive any checks or credits to apply toward our loan. This was nothing more than a deceptive sales tactic designed to inflate their numbers and commission at our expense. We are now stuck with a bill that is double the amount of our previous utility bill. When we expressed our concerns to Bryce, he claimed that this was only the second time he had received similar feedback, implying that we must have misunderstood him. This response only added to our frustration and left us feeling disrespected. This wasn’t the only issue that we had with this solar company. It is very interesting during our interaction with this company they asked us after our first meeting to leave them a GLOWING review and they would give us a discount. Of course we did that to get any penny we could. Now this is all making sense, they need glowing reviews to mask the terrible service and deception that occurs. I couldn’t be more upset and cannot stress enough to not do business with them.
Working with ES solar has been easy! It took about two months to complete the install and about another month working with the city and getting set up to commission the system. Representatives have been very proactive and helpful throughout the entire process. The installation itself only took half a day and was very unobtrusive. The service so far has been outstanding. The system itself is still new so I cannot speak to meeting quoted values, but I will follow up in a year to speak to that.
Appreciate working with ES Solar. The install went great, and getting things ready to go with Brian went well. He did a great job explaining how it all went and answering all the questions we had. Excited to have solar energy!
The installation process was seamless. However, I would caution potential customers to ensure they receive a reasonable estimate of what they should expect to pay the power company after panel installation. I feel I was oversold on how much power my new panels would provide. My sales person explained that I should only expect to pay a small service fee monthly to Rocky Mountain Power. The panels do reduce my monthly power bill, but not as much as I was led to expect. Of course, I'm still stuck with the full monthly panel loan payment, with a higher power bill than I expected.
