Hunt Services did an excellent, thorough job cleaning our ductwork, including dryer vent and furnace. The two technicians were really nice and professional, explained everything and protected the floor and corners of the walls.
Labor Charged by the Job, Not the Hour If you are thinking about using Hunt’s Services for plumbing, please be very careful. Hunt’s Services charges labor by the job, not by the hour. With my experience it was very costly. My mother’s hot water shut off valve under her kitchen sink needed replacing. Hunt’s Services replaced both shutoff valves and supply lines, charged $473.26. I thought this was a fair price, considering parts on the high side would run $50 and the rest in labor, $423.26. Then when we tested the new connections, we noticed that the water pressure was considerably less than before. The plumber suggested that the existing faucet should be replaced to restore the water pressure, I agreed. Now the catch is this is a new job. The cost to replace a basic, chrome, single-handle kitchen faucet with an auxiliary sprayer was $742.26. The part costs $57.70, leaving $684.56 in labor costs. So, in conclusion, after approximately 1 hour of service Hunt’s Services walked away with $1,107.82 minus $120 for a senior discount equaling a total of $987.82 in labor charges. Again, please be careful and do not get burned like I did.
I would highly recommend Hunt’s Services! I called several plumbing companies this morning but Hunt’s service was the only one that could accommodate me with same day service. They clearly communicate time of arrival, costs, and follow up with a heads up call when they are on their way. Diego arrived on time and quickly diagnosed and solved our hot water issue. He also explained what he was doing and why. I was so impressed with Lizzie (?) who handled our call so professionally and Diego ‘s knowledge and abilities. We had to reschedule to a different day was my only issue. Hunt's Electrical was great to work with. Up front price quote & excellent service. As a property manager, I've got a number of commercial properties I always need work done. I plan to use Hunt's again for other projects. Very impressed with how they do business.
