I recently had the pleasure of working with Federico Gomez and Moises for an electrical project at my home, and I couldn't be more satisfied with their service. They installed an EV charger NEMA 14-50 plug and a new electrical panel, labeling each breaker meticulously. Federico and Moises demonstrated exceptional professionalism and skill throughout the entire process. They were punctual, efficient, and respectful of my home. The quality of their work was top-notch, ensuring everything was safely and neatly installed. They even mounted a cable organizer that I found on Amazon and was really happy to see that they were able to do that for me. If you're looking for reliable and talented electricians, I highly recommend Federico Gomez and Moises. Their attention to detail and dedication to doing a great job truly sets them apart.
Excellent service! They arrived promptly and quickly addressed the issue which was a socket with green goo coming out of it. The team was professional, clean, and even showed up earlier than expected. It was a pleasure working with them, and the best part was that their price was $50 less than the other quote we received. Highly recommend!
KODA LED Motion Security Light Model LM030599-1 I had two of these lights installed on the back sides of my home where it tends to be very dark at night. On one side is the dog area and the other side is where we have guests parties during the night. Trout Electric sent their installer out and he gave an estimate of the work and cost of the project. For two of these lights to be installed it cost $1,098.00. I inspected their work after it was completed and immediately noticed that the two flood lights didn’t include light switches. The Trout installer said: “The lights stay on continuously and operate by motion sensor so there is no need for a light switch.” I disagreed and asked him if he had read the installation booklet that I gave to him before he began the work. He replied, “I didn’t read the instructions.” I insisted on a light switch for each of the two flood lights. I explained that according to the directions the flood lights needed a light switch to operate at full capacity. I was then informed that it would cost an additional $200.00 for two light switches. This raised the total job cost to $1,276.00. I paid him and he added the switches. One of the light switches was in a terrible area and he offered to relocate it. At the time I declined because I thought he would charge more for it. I was already at $1300. A week latter I spoke to the owner of Trout Electric because the original work estimate appeared to have had two light switches included. On the original work estimate it included “Switch Leg x 2 for $742.00. I assumed that this meant Light Switches for both Flood lights. The owner informed me that I was wrong and that the language on the estimate was more for work order purposes.” I then referred to the instruction manual that includes a light switch for proper operation. He informed me that it could operate without a light switch. I disagreed, only the Night Light function operates this way. I informed that there was no caulking around the lights. The owner stated they don't need it. I asked about a poorly chosen location for one of the light switches installed. It was in the dog area. The owner agreed to relocate the light switch at no additional cost. However in doing so “ it would leave a hole in the stucco that would need to be repaired.” The owner was not going to be responsible for the repairs. I declined the offer for this reason. A few things to note; (1) The Work Estimate: An estimate was given, but the work performed didn’t match the estimate. It appeared that I was charged an extra $200.00 for what I thought was already included on the estimate. This was not the case. The language used on the estimate was written mostly in electrical jargon. It’s not unreasonable to think that the average person could mistake “Switch Leg” for Light Switch that was written on the estimate. Work estimates should not be written in electrical jargon. (2) Work Performed: The installer admitted to not reading the product instruction manual that I gave him. He then install the product not maximizing it’s full functionality. The owner insisted that one could operate the product without a light switch. This only applies to Night Light functions and you must climb a latter to manually do it. No caulking around the lights was something I noticed after the installation. The owner states the lights don't need caulking due to the internal gasket. The instructions are clear on this, caulking is needed. There is caulking around a garage light fixture the same worker installed a week prior, pictured. Key Takeaways Get specific estimates with full explanations of definitions of work to be performed. Don’t assume that common things such as light switches would be included in work estimates. Go over product directions step by step with the workers, don’t assume their going to abide by the manufacture instructions Check all work completed before the workers leave the job site I hope this review helps people make informed decisions or know what questions to ask Thank you
Trout Electric fixed my EV chargers. Vanessa Angon customer service executive was very helpful. Gino the electrician was very knowledgeable and did an excellent job. Trout Electic are very professional, extremely knowledgeable and prompt in replying. Very satisfied with the service level. I highly recommend Trout Electric.
I needed a Tesla wall charger installed and this company was on the list of businesses recommended by the manufacturer. Applying for a quote was fairly straightforward as they only required picture of install location, breaker location, and distance between the two. They sent someone out after a few days right on time and the entire process took less than an hour. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone, especially if you are looking to install a charger.
